Tunstall Televida has been awarded the tender for providing telecare and telehealth in Castile and León as part of an innovative project which aims to develop an integrated solution for the provision of virtual health and social care services to older people and people living with chronic conditions in the area. The Regional Health Authority and the Regional Social Services body has appointed Tunstall as technology lead, working closely with other organisations such as Connectis ICT Services-Altia Consultant, Everis Spain, and Fundación Intras to deliver the service to people in their own homes and in residential facilities.
Tunstall will be building upon its experience of delivering technology and digital solutions for health and social care, which includes the development of innovative solutions for care management, telecare, telehealth, clinical telemonitoring, sensors and alerts management. New proactive and personalised services will be introduced which aim to improve the accessibility and sustainability of health and social care services, and prevent adverse events such as falls.
This second phase of the project expected to last 14 months, and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) as part of the Intelligent Growth Operating Program, through the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
Abel Delgado, CEO of Tunstall Southern Europe commented: “This project is an exciting opportunity for Tunstall Televida, and we look forward to working as part of a unique public-private collaboration to create an ecosystem for innovation and excellence in health and social care. We will be deploying our latest generation of digital technology, and working in partnership to develop an integrated virtual care system which improves the quality and efficiency of care for people with complex needs.”
